Customers are encouraged to use our online support options. Registered users will get 30 days of free installation support with the purchase of the product. A Technical Knowledge Base section is available for those evaluating Visual DataFlex.

Community Newsgroups
Data Access Worldwide provides an electronic area for community peer support via our Internet newsgroups. We have a private newsgroup server (news.dataaccess.com) hosted at our Miami, USA Corporate Headquarters on a dedicated T1. Since we run our newsgroups as private newsgroups, you will need to connect directly to our news server to read our groups. If you are using a dedicated newsgroup reader, you should be able to set the news server to "news.dataaccess.com" and then choose to "subscribe" to newsgroups. We do not have public newsgroups so you won’t see our groups in the standard usenet list (which is why you need to point to our private news server rather than being able to find our groups using your ISP’s news server).

Use WASP to search the Community Newsgroups

WASP (Web Application Search Page) allows developers to search existing content (posts) in the Data Access Worldwide Community Newsgroups quickly and efficiently using a Web browser interface. WASP is a free service, developed and provided by Sture Andersen of Sture ApS in Denmark. WASP was originally developed using Visual DataFlex 9.1. Some of these basic errors may possibly occur when running a Visual DataFlex application. Others may occur when running your DataFlex Application "Program code". Please consult your error code for the recommended action or explanation before contacting support.
